The annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball is a celebration of Marine Corps history and traditions. It represents where the Marine Corps started and where it is now; while giving us a glimpse of the past, present and future. Throughout the world on 10 November, Marines celebrate the birth of their Corps -- the most loyal, feared, revered, and professional fighting force the world has ever known.
Wreaths Across America
This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.
Our Detachment 736 will be providing the official ceremony for the Four Corners at Memory Gardens of Farmington on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at noon. Starting at 10:00AM the laying of wreaths will commence.

Navajo Code Talkers Day
Navajo Code Talkers' descendants and the public are invited. Events include parade, honor run, descendants’ exhibits, and gourd dance. Bring your chairs and tables. Department of New Mexico Meeting
The Marine Corps League, Corporal Wilfred Eli Billey Detachment 736, will be hosting the 3rd Quarterly Meeting for the Marine Corps League, Department of New Mexico. The agenda for the day will be announced soon. We will have a Navajo Culture presentation, raffle, and the family of Wilfred Eli Billey presenting a bibliography about their family hero. Lunch will be provided, so a headcount is needed to make sure we have enough chow. We hope to see you there!

Busy week for us, U.S. Marines, as we prepare to celebrate our Corps 247th Birthday. We will meet at our general meeting venue for social hour and cake. Which of course, the official cake cutting ceremony will take place on Saturday, 12 November 2022 at the Farmington Civic Center.

Navajo Nation Fair Parade
Corporal Wilfred Eli Billey Detachment 736 will be participating in the 2022 Navajo Nation Fair Parade in Window Rock, Arizona. We encourage all of Department of New Mexico membership, families, and friends to join us to promote our Marine Corps League to the Navajo Nation. Our intention is to garner potential membership to those on the Navajo Reservation and start their own Fire Teams on Navajo!

The next Marine Corps League, Department of New Mexico Quarterly Meeting will be held on Saturday, 16 JUL 2022, at the New Mexico Veterans' Memorial (1100 Louisiana Boulevard SE, Suite 5009, Albuquerque, NM 87108). Coordinate with your membership to attend this event and break bread with your Brothers and Sisters. This event is open to all Marine Corps League members in good standing.
